Respiratory Therapist Student Per Diem

Job Description Summary

Position Responsibilities:

• Maintains equipment levels in Respiratory Storage areas.
• Maintains supplies to ensure appropriate par levels for clinical staff.
• Maintains cylinder levels in Medical Gas storage area.
• Conducts cylinder rounds to assist patient care units.
• Affirms proper securing of medical gas cylinders.
• Affirms ventilator reprocessing areas are stocked and cleaned.
• Affirms satellite storage areas have appropriate par levels.
• Affirms all areas outside the Respiratory Department have appropriate supply levels.
• Affords support to Project Managers and RT personnel during medical gas shutoffs.
• Affords education to medical center employees on proper procurement, securing, and storage of medical gases.
• Notifies Respiratory Director of irregularities, safety, or compliance concerns.

Qualifications

Licenses/Registrations/Certifications: None

Education: Student enrolled in a 2 or 4-year Accredited Respiratory Care Program.
