Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem

About the role
Specializes in the application of scientific knowledge and theory to practical clinical problems of respiratory care. Assumes primary clinical responsibility for all respiratory care modalities specific to his or her clinical area, including responsibility involved in supervision of students enrolled in respiratory care programs. The Respiratory Therapist may be required to exercise considerable independent clinical judgement in the respiratory care of patients under the direct or indirect supervision of a physician.
Requirements
- Graduation from a CoARC accredited program in respiratory care with an Associate's Degree required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
- Licensed by the State of New York
- BLS/ACLS/NRP/CPR Certification within orientation period
- Participates in orientation as well as continuing education as mandated by the State of New York
- Updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of practice expertise
- Completes population specific competency annually on populations served as identified in scope of care and service

Medium work: standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling
Pay
Pay Range: $35.60 - $47.40 per hour. Per Diem positions are based on flat rate and will be discussed. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
