Respiratory Therapist – Springfield, MA

Key Highlights

• Work Arrangement: On-site
• Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Coverage area extends up to approximately 1 hour in most directions
• Mix of patient education, equipment management, and respiratory care services
• Salary range: $32 – $35 per hour
• On-Call transparency: On-call rotation includes approximately 7–8 days per month, including weekends

What You'll Do

• Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow-ups
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams
• Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop
• Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment
• Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operating condition
• Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry, and gather vital signs
• Perform other duties as required

What We Look For

• Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active MA RT license
• Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs
• Valid driver's license
• Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers)
• Hold a current CPR Certification
• Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice
