Respiratory Therapist

Aspire Rural Health Systems is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with a positive attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering the highest quality of service to both our patients and employees.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education (JRCRTE) approved program of respiratory care
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required (must be obtained within 6 months of graduating)
• Associate of Science (A.S.) required
• One year hospital experience in respiratory care preferred
• Able to perform CPR and current BLS certification required at date of hire by the American Heart Association
• Must obtain ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire date by American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Acquires training and clinical experience while providing logistical support for the operations of the Respiratory Care Department
• Performs independent professional respiratory care diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Conducts clinical evaluation of care, including establishing therapeutic objectives and reviewing care based on the age and needs of the patient
• Involved in acute, critical, and/or life-threatening patient care areas and situations
• Administers emergency, life-sustaining procedures until a physician assumes responsibility

The final and ultimate authority, judgment, and clinical decision-making are the responsibility of a physician.
