Job Description

This position comes with a $3,000 sign on bonus for new hires not already working in the BILH system. This position reports directly to the Manager of Respiratory Therapy and receives day-to-day oversight from the Respiratory Supervisors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care under physician orders and within the scope of services and licensure laws
  • Works collaboratively with providers
  • Reviews current orders in area of responsibility and ensures patients receive treatments as ordered
  • Administers medications via hand-held nebulizer, MDI and new modes of delivery as established

Education

  • Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy from an Accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
  • Licensure, Certification, Registration: Massachusetts License, Certified Respiratory Therapist – Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Preferred: Current BLS certification

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of PC’s
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills
  • Ability to impart specialized clinical and medical information to members of the health care team; physician, nurses

Experience

  • Preferred: Experience as a Staff Respiratory Therapist with a focus on critical care

Pay Range

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
