Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift - 36 Hours per Week

About the Role

Responsible for assessing and delivering pulmonary care to patients of all ages in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and sub-acute. Administers therapies such as gas, aerosol, ventilatory assistance, and performs cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. Ensures proper operation of equipment, documents procedures, and communicates effectively with physicians and nurses.

Responsibilities

• Administers and documents respiratory therapies, including ventilator care, aerosol and gas therapy, and suctioning
• Performs procedures in accordance with policies and communicates recommendations to healthcare teams
• Maintains equipment, formulates care plans, and assesses discharge needs
• Provides patient and family education, completes accurate documentation, and responds effectively to emergencies
• Participates in rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care
• Licensed in Massachusetts
• Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT)
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
