Respiratory Therapist RRT - NICU

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced respiratory care to high-risk newborns and pediatric patients.
• Manage ventilators and respiratory support devices.
• Perform patient assessments and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Collaborate with neonatologists and NICU nurses to develop and implement care plans.
• Participate in emergency response situations.
• Follow evidence-based protocols and ensure accurate documentation of care.
• Deliver specialized respiratory treatments, monitor patient progress, ensure safety protocols are followed, and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Experience with neonatal and pediatric respiratory care.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
