About the role
We are looking for a licensed Respiratory Therapist for who is seeking their next exciting opportunity in a complex and ever-evolving work environment!
Responsibilities
- Receive and document the orders for equipment and/or services from the referral source, physician, patient/client, family member, or caregiver.
- Compliance: Patient care staff are responsible for maintaining compliance tasks daily (e.g., patient utilization, improvement, check ins/follow ups, documentation, resolution, task lists, etc.).
- Provide administrative support as needed, including handling paperwork, filing, and managing correspondence; addressing client complaints or concerns and escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Train and assist with overall daily operations of Respiratory Therapy including vents, intake, coverage, and quality assurance at existing and new locations.
- Must be willing and able to travel within the assigned territory and provide coverage for area branches as operational needs dictate.
- Must be flexible and willing to assist with staffing coverage at various locations, when peers are out due to continued education, vacation, leave, etc...
- Collect additional information and/or authorization as needed.
- Assess the needs of the patient/client and the best choice of equipment and/or services to meet the needs of the patients.
- Instruct patients/clients in the proper use and care of equipment according to the written policies and procedures for that equipment.
- Communicate with the patient's/client's physician on changes in patient's condition and/or needs and carry out adjustment to the patient's/client's Plan of Care/Treatment.
- Rotate to various branches to support the business and patients, as business needs dictate.
- Track and maintain follow up on preventative maintenance and schedule visits for respiratory therapy equipment assigned to clients.
- Complete patient/client accounts paperwork, including Plan of Care/Home assessments.
- Assist with scheduled visits of clients receiving oxygen therapy as needed.
- Assist with arrangement of necessary referral to community agencies or for those traveling, to assist in continuity of care.
- Develop and implement discharge plans for agency patients/clients.
- Assume full responsibility for actions, professional skills, and attitudes.
- Keep cognizant of third-party reimbursement, criteria services, billing, patient/client paperwork and equipment offered.
- Oversee all clinical functions that are performed by the company.
- Perform all job functions with Company Mission, Vision, and Goal Statements in mind.
- Flexible attitude and willingness to take on extra tasks as necessary.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High degree of integrity.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
- Respiratory care experience and/or home care experience in the field of respiratory care.
- Thorough knowledge and skills related to Home Medical Equipment field.
- Ability to effectively manage all respiratory products provided by the company.
- Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people resulting in constructive working relationships.
- People-sensitive characteristics with a genuine desire to help others.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, families, and internal staff.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, manage records, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in data collection and record-keeping.
- Customer Service Skills: Providing excellent customer service and fostering a positive client experience.

- Technical Proficiency: Experience with relevant software, scheduling tools, and data entry software, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Schedule
Full-time positions require a 40-hour work week. Hours: Generally, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday. This position does have an on-call rotation. Overtime as needed with OT pay!
