Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Acute, PRN

Responsibilities
- Cover diagnostic testing, including bedside, EKGs, blood gas analysis, and tobacco cessation education.
- Deliver respiratory therapies, monitor patient response, and communicate changes in condition.
- Respond to codes and emergent respiratory calls, providing rapid assessment and intervention.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health, medication use, and illness management.
- Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, manage supplies, and support performance improvement efforts.
- Provide care across neonatal through older adult populations while ensuring compliance with safety and infection control standards.
Requirements
- Average of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Current RRT license in the state of practice.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments with exposure to biological and chemical hazards.
- Strong critical thinking skills, reliability, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
