Responsibilities
- Coverage of nights shifts
- Evaluate and treat patients with breathing-related conditions
- Perform diagnostic testing, including bedside, EKGs, blood gas analysis, and tobacco cessation education
- Deliver respiratory therapies, monitor patient response, and communicate changes in condition
- Respond to codes and emergent respiratory calls, providing rapid assessment and intervention
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health, medication use, and illness management
- Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, manage supplies, and support performance improvement efforts
- Provide care across neonatal through older adult populations while ensuring compliance with safety and infection control standards
Requirements
- Average of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- RRT license in the state of practice
- BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments with exposure to biological and chemical hazards
- Strong critical thinking skills, reliability, and a commitment to patient-centered care
