About the Role
This seasonal PRN Respiratory Therapist position is part of the Night Shifts program at Medical City Dallas. All seasonal candidates are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period (9.20.26–4.4.27). The rate is $52/HR.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of Respiratory Care and other multidisciplinary assigned skills as defined by training and competency demonstration
- Execute assignments in compliance with hospital and respiratory policies
- May work with Respiratory Students in the clinical care setting
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (RRT/RCP-State)
- Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (NBRC-CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist, or (NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist
- No experience required
Program Requirements
- All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period
- Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need
- Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4-week schedule period
- During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee)
- Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off
- There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital
- Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND or D2/ECD)
- Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation
- Current FT/PT & PRN employees are not eligible to join the Seasonal program for 2026–27 with the exception of RNs that participated in the Seasonal program in the previous year
- Current employees of HWS are not eligible for the seasonal program
- Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department
