Respiratory Therapist / Part-Time Nights

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital - Erie is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Respiratory Therapists (RTs) are integral in delivering compassionate, high-quality care throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Insert and remove endotracheal tubes as needed.
• Promote continuous quality improvement in respiratory therapy practices.
• Teach and counsel patients and families on respiratory care techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must possess an Active CRT or RRT credential from the NBRC or state equivalent.
• Must have a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS certification is required upon hire (for agency RTs, ACLS certification is required upon first shift).

Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.

Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

Up to $40.00 per hour.

Schedule

6:30 p.m. - 7 a.m., 2 shifts/week.
