Respiratory Therapist - Part Time, Night Shift

Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, airway procedures, and patient assessments in critical care settings. They educate patients, families, and staff, ensuring safe, high-quality care while promoting a positive team environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver compassionate patient care through assessments, therapy, and collaboration with healthcare teams.Administer aerosolized medications, manage ventilators, perform airway procedures, and analyze arterial blood gases.Educate patients and mentor new staff and students, supporting professional development.Maintain safety and quality standards, promote evidence-based practices, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.Ensure accurate documentation, electronic orders, and compliance with policies.Perform other duties as assigned, fostering a supportive, team-oriented environment. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with associated coursework in science.Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s preferred.0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.Current state registration as a Respiratory Therapist and professional certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.Strong communication, critical thinking, assessment, and computer skills.
