Respiratory Therapist - Part Time Night Shift

About the role

The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, and patient assessments, primarily in critical care settings. They deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, educate patients and staff, and participate in procedures, testing, and performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Administer aerosolized medications, manage ventilators, perform airway procedures, and analyze blood gases.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for comprehensive patient care and education.
• Ensure patient safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to policies.
• Support staff development, mentor students, and promote evidence-based practices.
• Participate in invasive/non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program; associate's degree required, bachelor's preferred.

0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.

Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and Respiratory Care Professional.

Skills

• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and instructor certifications are required.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills, with proficiency in computer use.
