Respiratory Therapist - Part Time Days

Role Overview

Provides respiratory care, oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to patients of all ages. Sets up, monitors, and weans oxygen and artificial ventilation; draws and reports arterial blood gases and EKGs; delivers therapy; assists with airway management, and follows physician orders and policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist and NBRC certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient in computer systems, data entry, and communication; strong interpersonal skills.

Key Duties

• Performs therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, documents clinical information, and educates patients and staff.
• Adapts care to patient age and needs, respecting privacy and communication preferences.
• Ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and safety standards; maintains knowledge of applicable laws and standards.

Physical & Environmental Demands

Capable of heavy physical activity, including lifting and moving objects, working in patient care areas, and exposure to biological hazards and infectious materials. Must work flexible hours and travel as needed.
