Part-Time Respiratory Therapist - Days

Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures such as ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway maintenance.
• Assess and treat patients of all ages.
• Interpret diagnostic data and operate and troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment.
• Ensure infection control and equipment maintenance.
• Contribute to patient safety, care quality, and patient satisfaction through effective communication.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• License in good standing in Texas.
• Registered by the NBRC.
• At least 6 months of respiratory care experience.
• Must obtain NRP and PALS within one year if not already certified.

• Proficiency in respiratory assessment and treatment.
• Critical thinking and equipment operation.
• Data interpretation and patient communication.
• Ability to work under indirect supervision and adapt to diverse patient needs.
