Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures
• Performs respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery
• Performs blood gas analysis and interpretation
• Maintains and manages equipment
• Provides patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
• Previous working experience in neonatal respiratory care, or successful completion of department-specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners
• Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Must be actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies in both adult and neonatal areas
