About the role
We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide patient assessments, perform respiratory procedures, and monitor therapies related to pulmonary diseases and sleep disorders.
Responsibilities
- Conducting patient assessments and delivering respiratory care in adult and neonatal units
- Managing equipment such as vents, CPAP, and HFOV devices
- Assisting with procedures like intubation, bronchoscopy, and blood gas analysis
- Providing patient and family education
- Participating in cross-training, conferences, and professional development activities
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners
- Previous neonatal respiratory care experience or successful completion of department orientation
- Current BCLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Skills
- Proficiency in adult and neonatal respiratory care
- Ability to perform critical care procedures and equipment management
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Active practice and maintenance of competencies in both adult and neonatal areas
