About the role
Provide comprehensive respiratory care across various units, including ICU, medical-surgical floors, NICU, and pulmonary function labs.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and respiratory procedures for both adult and neonatal patients
- Conduct blood gas analysis and interpret results
- Manage and maintain respiratory equipment
- Provide patient and family education on therapies and treatments
- Assist with neonatal deliveries and NICU respiratory care
- Participate in bronchoscopy procedures and cross-training opportunities
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Licensed by the State Board and registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Experience in neonatal respiratory care or successful completion of departmental orientation
Skills
- Strong clinical skills in adult and neonatal care
- Competency in equipment management and patient education
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
