Respiratory Therapist - New Grad

About the Role

This position provides respiratory care, oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support for patients of all ages, including neonatal to geriatric.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and wean oxygen and ventilation support
• Analyze arterial blood gases and EKGs
• Assist with airway management
• Deliver ordered treatments according to policies
• Perform routine and advanced therapeutic procedures
• Document patient information accurately
• Educate patients and staff on respiratory care
• Conduct diagnostic procedures
• Ensure compliance with legal and safety standards
• Maintain professional certifications and stay updated on regulations and policies

The role involves exposure to biological hazards and requires physical effort, including lifting and working in patient care environments.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
• Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist
• Certifications from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Additional certifications such as NRP, ACLS, and PALS (as applicable)
