Respiratory Therapist - New Grad

About the role

Respiratory Therapist responsible for providing respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced therapeutic procedures following established policies.
• Monitor, wean, and manage oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation.
• Draw, analyze, and report Arterial Blood Gases and EKGs.
• Assist with airway management and provide patient education.
• Maintain accurate documentation of clinical information.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
• Attend staff meetings and stay current with technical certifications.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree.
• Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
• Certifications: BLS, with ACLS and PALS required within 90 days; NRP for NICU-trained therapists.
• Proficiency in computer skills, data entry, and effective communication.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting and moving objects.
• Work involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and potential communicable diseases.
• Adherence to safety standards and compliance with privacy and ethical policies.
