Job Summary And Responsibilities As our Respiratory Therapist Lead, you will perform respiratory procedures under physician direction across all patient areas, leading and mentoring therapy staff while overseeing day-to-day operations. Every day you will conduct patient assessments, develop, implement, and evaluate care plans, and collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient care delivery. You will also manage staffing, clinical competencies, staff development, performance evaluations, and regulatory compliance, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. To be successful in this role, you will possess expertise in respiratory therapy, strong leadership and mentoring skills, and the proven ability to manage operations, ensure clinical competencies, drive performance improvement, and comply with regulatory standards for effective patient care. Delivers respiratory care procedures to patients in general, acute, critical care, and emergency areas according to departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for functions such as daily staffing, documentation, monitoring and auditing, and staff professional development. Delegation in response to fluctuating workload and may assist with workload coverage to ensure safe patient care. Develops and implements ongoing education/competency plan and orientation process. Serves in a mentoring capacity for the respiratory therapy staff and students. Proactively identify and facilitate ongoing Quality Improvement projects and processes. We are offering up to $8,000 relocation assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements Required Job Requirements High School DiplomaCompletion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (i.e,. CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP)Three (3) years of respiratory therapy experience in an acute care setting Knowledge and experience in medical/trauma terminology, disease conditions, pharmacology, treatment modalities, therapeutic testing and interventionsKnowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards and complianceCurrent credential of CRT or RRT by N.B.R.C.Current state Respiratory Therapist Licensure (RLT) in applicable state of employmentCurrent Basic Life Support through the American Heart AssociationCurrent ACLS certification form American Heart Association upon hire or obtain within six (6) months of hire Current PALS certification upon hire or obtain within six (6) months of hire Current NRP certification upon hire or obtain within six (6) months of hire Preferred Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s DegreePrevious leadership experiencePrior use of electronic medical records (EMR) Where You'll Work Holy Cross Hospital � Mountain Point is a 40-bed full-service hospital serving the residents of northern Utah County.
