About the role
The Respiratory Therapy team at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children partners with health care professionals to provide quality respiratory care. Services include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport, and high-risk perinatal care.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care for patients with acute or chronic cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Work with patients to improve lung function through exercises, special medications, and the use of oxygen equipment.
- Incorporate evidence-based practice and state-of-the-art technologies in respiratory care.
- Support participants through the transition from student to practitioner in the Respiratory Therapy Academy.
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Current Hawai‘i State Respiratory Therapist License.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS).
Qualifications
- Experience in respiratory care or related field preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $46.31 - $51.46 USD per hour.
Schedule
This position is full-time regular FTE 0.900000, with a rotating 12-hour work schedule.
