RESPIRATORY THERAPIST II (PER DIEM)

About the role

The Valley Health System, including Valley Hospital, provides comprehensive care to Southern Nevada residents and visitors. Responsibilities

Delivers respiratory therapy modalities and assessments to patients in various patient care areas, including critical care. Works independently and without direct supervision, except during orientation or training periods.

Requirements

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapist program
• One (1) year of acute/critical care respiratory therapy experience
• Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Nevada Practitioner of Respiratory Care License, Nevada Blood Gas Technologist (minimum)
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Neonatal Resuscitative Provider (NRP) certification from the American Heart Association or American Academy of Pediatrics, respectively

• Experience: One (1) year in acute/critical care respiratory therapy
• Technical Skills: Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department
