Respiratory Therapist - GIG/Flex/Per Diem/PRN - Fort Smith, AR and Surrounding Communities

Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders. Consults physicians on the effectiveness of therapy. Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Performs duties as assigned.

Position Details

Flexible, incentivized Respiratory Therapist (RT) positions available at Mercy Hospital Rogers, Fort Smith, Berryville, and surrounding communities. Choose day or night shifts with no weekend, holiday, or shift requirements.

• $35/hr for RRT
• $30/hr for CRT
• Variable shift incentives
• 4, 8, or 12-hour shifts available
• W-2 employee status

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on the effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license meeting state licensure requirements.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• One year of experience (excluding orientation).
• For co-workers in the Emergency Room: PALS and ACLS certifications required.

Skills

• Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pinch up to 10 lbs.
• Minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Proficiency with all appropriate respiratory care devices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Critical care experience.
