- Position: Respiratory Therapist
- Location: Evanston Hospital - Evanston, IL
- Type: Full Time | 36 hours/week
- Shift: Nights, Monday - Friday and weekends 7pm - 7am, with holidays.
What You Will Do
- Assists Physicians, as requested with Respiratory Therapy procedures
- Provides respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according to hospital policy and procedures
- Affords patients with assessment to determine most suitable method of administering treatment
- Documents treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribes verbal or phone orders by physicians
- Communicates to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
- Maintains monitoring of patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients
- Provides patient and staff education
What You Will Need
- Education: Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
- Licenses/Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligibility, State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure within six months of employment, Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association, ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) within 24 months of employment, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) within 24 months of employment, PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 24 months of employment

Pay
- Hourly Pay Range: $33.16 - $49.74
- The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
