Respiratory Therapist - Days/Nights

About the Role

This position involves providing respiratory care services to patients of all ages, including oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing, ventilation support, and airway management. The Respiratory Therapist monitors and weans oxygen and ventilation, analyzes arterial blood gases, and performs various therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced respiratory treatments and procedures.
• Review and document patient clinical information accurately.
• Educate patients and healthcare teams about treatments and procedures.
• Adapt care to diverse patient populations, respecting privacy and communication needs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, standards, and regulations.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience.
• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist and certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS within 90 days; NRP preferred.
• Strong computer, verbal, and written communication skills; interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, work in environments with exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious agents, and maintain knowledge of regulatory standards.
