About the role
At Apria, you will experience a unique blend of clinical autonomy, meaningful patient interaction, and supportive team collaboration. This role offers a balance of branch-based and field-based respiratory care while supporting patients transitioning from hospital to home.
- Hours: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Work Arrangement: On-site; 85% office, 15% field
- Driving Territory: Up to 1 hour from branch
- Rotating on-call schedule shared with other Respiratory Therapists
Responsibilities
- Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow ups
- Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams
- Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop
- Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation
- Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operating condition
- Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active MO RT license. IL RT license is a plus or willingness to obtain
- Open to candidates with varying experience levels; 1+ year preferred
- Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs
- Valid driver's license
- Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy
- Hold a current CPR Certification
- Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice
Pay
Salary Range $27.00–$35.00 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors including experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
