About the role
$10,000 taxable sign-on available. Part-time, 24 hours per week, night shift, onsite.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct care for premature, pediatric, and adult patients.
- Assess the status and immediate airway needs of critically ill neonates, pediatric, or adult patients in intra-hospital transport, intensive care, and general care environments.
- Provide care that addresses the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of patients served, regardless of age.
- Participate in the education of ACH staff, patients, and parents.
- Be temporarily assigned to any area throughout the ACH enterprise based on patient needs requiring similar knowledge and skill.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Experience in respiratory care is required.
- Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
- Experience in healthcare is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.
Education and Experience
- Graduate from an accredited school of Respiratory Care.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care is required.
- New graduates with less than 1 year of neonatal/pediatric or adult critical care experience are eligible.
Licenses and Certifications
- Current OH Respiratory Care Professional license is required.
- Current Health Care Provider BLS training is required.
- NRP, PALS, ACLS, and STABLE certification is required within 1 year of hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
