Respiratory Supervisor (RRT) - Cardiopulmonary (Nights)

About the role

The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs Cardiopulmonary duties by hospital policy/procedure under general supervision. This can include administering of respiratory treatments, airway management, ventilator management, blood gases, and other noninvasive cardiology procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory treatments, airway management, ventilator management, blood gases, and other noninvasive cardiology procedures.
• Held to a high level of customer service representation.
• Active participant in the continuous quality improvement process.
• Oversight of all activities of the therapists assigned to him/her.
• Training and evaluation of these employees.

Requirements

• Education: Associate Degree or 2 years of college coursework.
• Experience: Three years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Licenses & Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist, Healthcare Provider (CPR), ACLS Certification, Respiratory Care Professional, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider.
• Completion of AMA accredited school for Respiratory Therapy.
• Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Must complete PALS and ACLS within first 10 months of employment.
