Respiratory Educator

About the role

Design, develop, teach, and evaluate training programs to improve the clinical practice of respiratory therapists, nurses, and other clinicians. Serve as a liaison between Respiratory Therapy and Nursing to develop an annual education plan based on department goals and quality outliers. Develop an annual competency plan for respiratory therapists.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (required)
• Graduate degree (preferred)
• Three years of experience (required)
• RRT credential designated by the NBRC (required)

• Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines
• Effective communication in both oral and written form
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Sound and independent judgment
• Knowledge and skill in use of job-appropriate technology and software applications
