Respiratory Care Specialist I

About the role

The Respiratory Care Specialist I provides inpatient and outpatient respiratory care services. This position requires a current CA RCP license, BLS, and PALS certifications. An AS degree in Respiratory Therapy is preferred, with new graduates also being considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory care procedures under the supervision of a licensed practitioner.
• Monitors patient responses to treatments and reports significant findings to supervising personnel.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Documents patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and infection control protocols.

Requirements

• Current CA RCP license.
• Current BLS provider card.
• Current PALS provider card.

Qualifications

• AS degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Three years of clinical respiratory experience, preferred.
• New graduates will be considered.

Skills

• Competent in use of all respiratory therapy modalities.
• Strong time management skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.
