Respiratory Care Practitioner - RRT (30 hrs. Nights)

About the role

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist responsible for evaluating and providing respiratory care to patients. The role includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, administering therapies, monitoring patient progress, and adjusting care as needed.

Key Duties

• Assess patient conditions and develop appropriate care plans based on diagnoses.
• Deliver respiratory therapies in accordance with physician orders, policies, and guidelines.
• Monitor patient responses, record clinical data, and communicate updates.
• Perform advanced respiratory procedures and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and available resources.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment, manage supplies, and ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies and rapid response situations.
• Perform related duties as assigned, working in a safe, alert manner.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory care or equivalent experience.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through NBRC.

Skills and physical requirements

• Strong communication, observational, and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform patient transfers occasionally.
• Utilize vision, hearing, and smell for patient assessment and safety.
• Repetitive movements and manual dexterity required for equipment handling.
