About the role
Assess, treat, and care for patients with pulmonary disorders. Operate and set up respiratory devices, provide emergency care, analyze arterial blood gases, follow physician orders, monitor patient responses, and collaborate with the healthcare team to manage care plans.
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up respiratory devices
- Provide emergency respiratory care
- Analyze arterial blood gases
- Follow physician orders and monitor patient responses
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and manage care plans
- Support safety protocols and comply with the Code of Conduct
- Perform assigned duties in a facility recognized for transplant excellence and comprehensive patient care
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
- Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- NBRC credential (RRT or CRT)
- BLS certification (required)
- ACLS certification (required within 90 days of hire)
Preferred Qualifications
- PALS or NRP certifications

- Proficiency in operating respiratory equipment
- Knowledge of emergency respiratory procedures
- Strong patient assessment abilities
- Effective teamwork and collaboration
- Adherence to safety, ethical standards, and hospital policies
