About the role
We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver basic and advanced respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients, including those with respiratory diseases.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient respiratory needs and administer therapies such as aerosol, oxygen, and ventilator support.
- Perform pulmonary function tests and assist with specialized procedures like bronchoscopies.
- Document treatments and ensure equipment safety and functionality.
- Serve as a resource for medical staff regarding respiratory techniques and best practices.
- Work independently, supervise others, and contribute to quality improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Graduation from an approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
- Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
- Certifications in BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of respiratory care practices and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to educate patients and medical staff on respiratory techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and independent working capabilities.
