Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of the scope of practice of a respiratory therapist including diagnostic and metabolic testing, patient assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.
• Analyzes and reports on clinical responses.
• Works collaboratively with the medical staff and other healthcare team members to support efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality patient care.
• Provides patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Supports system, facility, and department growth and quality through participation in performance improvement activities, continuing education, and professional growth and development.

Requirements

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (KS), Kansas State Board of Healing Arts, Reg Respiratory Therapist (NBRC), The National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Associate Degree.

Qualifications

• RRT required.
• BLS preferred.

• 12-hour shifts, minimum 2 shifts per week.
