Job Summary

As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will assess, treat, and care for patients with pulmonary disorders. You will operate and set up devices, provide emergency care, and consult with healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
  • 1-year previous Respiratory Therapy experience preferred
  • Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Texas Medical Board
  • Current credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) before July 1, 2002 (grandfathered CRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of employment
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 90 days of employment if required by department
