Respiratory Care Coordinator

About the role

The Respiratory Care Coordinator at CHI Mercy Health Valley City leads the Respiratory Care technical staff, providing instruction and evaluation, while assisting the Director in department management. This role also includes direct patient care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Research and budgeting of new equipment.
• Scheduling and performance evaluation of staff.
• Creating and maintaining department policies.
• Maintenance and quality control of equipment within the department.
• Develop and manage operating budget.
• Other duties as applicable.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.
• Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care Practitioner: ND (RESP-LIC:ND).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

Strong leadership, instructional, and evaluative skills, with advanced clinical expertise in respiratory care. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for staff supervision and interdisciplinary contact are essential.
