Respiratory Care Assistant Student PRN

About the role

Provides patient treatment under the supervision of a Registered Respiratory Therapist, assisting with respiratory therapy modalities, patient care, and limited clerical duties. Ensures quality care by demonstrating proper skills, knowledge, and competencies aligned with the NC Respiratory Care Board guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with respiratory therapy procedures and patient care
• Support team operations and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
• Perform clerical duties as needed
• Demonstrate competency in respiratory care skills and knowledge

Requirements

• Enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Care Program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care
• Current BLS certification

Qualifications

Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS, NRP
