Respiratory Care Assistant - PRN | Rocky Mount Specialty

About the role

We are looking for a Respiratory Care Assistant to join our team and care for our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. At PAM Health, we care for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care.

This is a non-exempt, full-time position. The Respiratory Care Assistant will work only under direct supervision of a licensed RCP, under the clinical supervision of the Medical Director of Respiratory Care and overall supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Manager.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine therapy and diagnostic procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals.
• Maintains all equipment in working order.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• Must be a Senior RT Student from an Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Must have a provisional license in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
• Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum of one year completion of Respiratory curriculum in an accredited program.
