Respiratory Care Assistant, PRN
About the role
The Respiratory Care Assistant sets up and operates respiratory equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with respiratory illnesses. They perform various clinical tasks such as oxygen administration, nebulizer therapy, and electrocardiograms under the supervision of a licensed respiratory therapist.
Under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Care and a licensed respiratory therapist, and upon the request of the physician, this role sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with respiratory disease and/or illness. The position has full access to patient health information.

Requirements
- Registered by the North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Assistant
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- High School graduate from an accredited high school

- 0-2 years of experience
