Respiratory Care Assistant PRN
Job Summary and Qualifications
The Respiratory Care Assistant will provide respiratory therapy to patients by performing assigned duties under the supervision of a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner. The RCA will assist respiratory therapy staff by caring for patients, disinfection of respiratory therapy equipment, performing limited clerical duties, as well as duties within the scope of practice defined by the GA Board of Respiratory Care. The RCA will support quality of care by demonstrating proper orientation, competencies, knowledge and skills in mode of therapy outlined by the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC).
Qualifications
- A current student with successful completion of the first year from a 2 year respiratory program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Respiratory Care required
- BCLS (must obtain in 30 days) required
