This role offers the chance to work with patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric, delivering critical respiratory therapy in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and wean Oxygen Therapy and Artificial Ventilation
• Draw, analyze, and report Arterial Blood Gases and EKGs
• Deliver intermittent therapy
• Assist with changing of artificial airways
• Perform routine and advanced therapeutic procedures according to established policy and procedure
• Review and document all clinical information regarding each patient
• Educate patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans
• Perform diagnostic procedures
• Provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the age of patient served in assigned area
• Maintain professional certifications and up-to-date knowledge of technical procedures
• Attend staff meetings
• Other related duties as required

Requirements

• Associate's Degree (Required)
• 2 years of experience in specialty/NICU (Required)
• Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
• Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
• Current Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association
• Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
• Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals
