About the role
The Resource Scheduler works with the Operations leadership team to plan coverage and schedule the Operations staff. This position supports the Network’s television production needs, ensuring all positions are staffed including studio, tape room, control rooms, edit facilities, ENG and remote.
Responsibilities
- Schedule staff, facilities, and equipment to meet the needs of the company
- Input schedules for facility and equipment usage into NESN’s scheduling software program, Xytech, in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the organization
- As the super user, create and maintain staff schedules, work orders, user accounts and other system requirements for productions in Xytech
- Maintain a solid and up-to-date understanding of show needs and corresponding skill sets
- Work with appropriate managers to understand staff expertise and interests; work towards establishing and maintaining an appropriate balance between all factors
- Distribute and post work orders and schedules for network Operations as necessary
- Set expectations by communicating changes and challenges to key staff and stakeholders
Qualifications
- 0-2, or more, years of related television studio production/operations/remote experience
- Solid experience with Microsoft Office applications is necessary; experience with ScheduAll is a plus; and proven ability to learn new applications quickly and use them effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent Organizational and time management abilities
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven ability to multitask on larger projects
- Proactive individual who enjoys solving problems independently and collaboratively
Pay
The expected range for this position is $21.64 to $26.45 per hour. The final offer will be determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and internal equity.
