About the Role
As a Resource RN, you will provide diverse professional nursing services, delivering quality patient care, regulatory requirements, and nursing scope of practice. You are responsible for collaboratively developing, implementing, and assessing patient care plans. Every day you will directly engage in patient care, utilizing critical thinking to assess, plan, coordinate, and delegate tasks to the patient care team. You will continuously educate patients, families, and staff, implementing interventions for optimal outcomes and managing issues in a physician's absence.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate accountability for care quality, with authority to direct care and utilize resources efficiently, including comprehensive perioperative care for surgical patients
- Conduct care assessments and interpret assessment data to determine care needs and constraints in meeting these needs
- Successfully complete system-based and hospital specific competencies
- Maintain accurate documentation of observations, treatments, teaching, medications, care given, patient response, and integrate into plan of care
- In collaboration with patients and families (as defined by the patient), evaluate, plan, direct and administer care to the patient
- Implement a plan of care based upon established standards of care/practice, policies, and procedures, incorporating cultural, religious, psychosocial, physical, and age-related issues
- Possess knowledge of medications, and administer safely and accurately
- Appropriately delegate and supervise routine technical functions to non-licensed and licensed personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing from an accredited/approved school of nursing, upon hire
- Minimum one year of experience as an RN in an acute care facility
- Registered Nurse: KY, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 days
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 months
- Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 months
Pay
$45.00 - $45.00 /hour
