RESOURCE POOL RN - Garfield Park/Hartgrove Behavioral Hospitals (FLEX/PRN)
About the role
Resource RN Pool for Garfield Park and Hartgrove Behavioral Hospitals. Must commit to float to either hospital as needed. FLEX/PRN position requiring a minimum of 6 shifts per month (including 3 weekends) with a base pay of $50 per shift plus shift differentials.
Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital provides behavioral health and psychiatric support to children and teens ages 3‑17, using evidence‑based treatment and individualized care to instill hope. Hartgrove Behavioral Health System is a 160‑bed leading psychiatric hospital serving children, adolescents, and adults, offering advanced technologies, programs, and a continuum of specialty services across inpatient, partial, and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care on assigned units consistent with hospital philosophy and objectives.
- Prescribe, coordinate, and delegate nursing care using the nursing process integrated into multidisciplinary treatment team plans.
- Be accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and promote/enhance professional nursing practice.
- Authorized to initiate restraints or seclusion and assess continuation.
- Work in an engaging environment with a team dedicated to healing and health of patients.
Requirements
- Current license to practice nursing in Illinois.
- Minimum one year RN experience or prior LPN experience, preferably in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting.
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
Benefits
FLEX/PRN positions – no benefits.
Pay
$50 per shift plus applicable shift differentials.
Schedule
Shifts are 8 hours: 11 pm – 7:30 am, 3 pm – 11:30 pm, or 7 am – 3:30 pm. Minimum commitment: 6 shifts per month, including at least 3 weekend shifts.
