About the Opportunity
The Resource Manager is responsible for designing and managing a real-time demand-to-capacity program that aligns projects and work orders with appropriate resources. This role ensures accurate workforce scheduling and capacity planning to maintain high client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Own and improve the real-time demand-to-capacity system tracking capacity, skills, and availability.
- Assign projects and work orders to resources based on availability, skill set, and priority.
- Collaborate with Sales, Pre-Sales, and PMO leadership to forecast demand and identify capacity gaps.
- Monitor utilization and establish alerts for over- and under-allocation across teams.
- Maintain tier-based lead times to support accurate client expectation setting.
- Conduct capacity review meetings with delivery leadership to inform hiring and resource allocation decisions.
- Compare actual hours and outcomes with forecasts to improve forecasting accuracy and reporting.
- Maintain compliance with documentation and administrative procedures.
- Participate in required company and departmental meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in resource management, capacity planning, or project management operations.
- PMP, CAPM, or similar certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in demand forecasting, workload balancing, Microsoft Office, and project management tools.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to project completion and consistent, dependable work performance.
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions and maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills.
Pay
- Annual salary range of $68,633–$106,381, plus a 7.5% annual incentive opportunity.
- Compensation is based on candidate skill level, experience, licenses, education, and other relevant factors.
