Resource Instructional Assistant

Responsibilities

• Supervise and tutor students with special needs
• Provide small group one on one instruction to students in need
• Respect the individual's right to privacy
• Participate in staff development programs
• Perform other duties assigned by the building principal

Qualifications

• Licensed elementary teacher (preferred)
• At least 48 college credits; an associate's degree; or willing to take and achieve a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment prior to beginning work
• Experience working with students with special needs (preferred)
• Teacher's license (preferred)
