Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Planning and SSOW: Carry out all planning for North West project requirements, in line with client requests. Create the Safe System of Work (SSOW) pack for all planned work. Act as Responsible Manager for SSOW packs as and when required.
- Resource Management (RM): Carry out RM duties, ensuring work is correctly and safely resourced. Manage change requests, ensuring any change to a plan meets contractual and operational requirements before being actioned.
- PICOP: Build the PICOP pack and issue it out. Attend the PICOP/Planning meeting, sharing information with and recording it for anyone unable to attend.
Fatigue and Deployment Compliance
- Ensure all team members are planned in accordance with NWR fatigue standards.
- Ensure contract staff are fully deployed to their contracted pattern.
- Escalate any deployment or fatigue compliance risk to the Senior Operations Manager.
Operational Support
- Undertake the agreed on-call weekend day to support the Operations team.
- Undertake an operational shift where required and competent to do so.
- Work with the wider planning and operations team to resolve conflicts and changes as they arise.
Knowledge, Experience And Education Requirements
- Understand railway possession management competences up to PICOP/SPICOP/NP level in the context of matching skills to shifts.
- Experienced and proficient in Microsoft applications (Word and Excel).
- Essential to hold a full UK driving license.
- Knowledge of Railway Group Standards relating to possession management and related activities.
- Knowledge and experience of being a Mentor and standout Role Model.
Working Pattern
The role is office based, Monday till Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 9am-3:45pm. Two on-call full weekend day shift, 06:00 to 18:00, within each 4-week cycle, in support of the Operations team, or 2 Operational weekends if the competencies allow.
