About the role

The Resort Worker is involved in most aspects of day-to-day operations of the Lodge while maintaining a high level of customer service at all times. The role requires cross-training in housekeeping, front desk, retail, groundskeeping, and food service.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on the customer: Seek to understand internal/external customer needs and meet them.
  • Perform customer service, food service, housekeeping, and other tasks as needed.
  • Restock supplies.
  • Accept payments, issue receipts, refunds, credit, or change accurately.
  • Maintain clean and orderly station area; stock and maintain supplies and products.
  • Continuously improve and adapt practices to perform tasks better, faster, or more efficiently.
  • May be assigned other duties by the Shift Supervisor or Manager(s).

Requirements

  • Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
  • One year of work experience and a desire to learn and work hard.
  • Ability to interpret menus, recipes, and follow oral/written directions.
  • Good visual and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a variety of people.
  • Willingness to be cross-trained in all areas of the workplace.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, including frequent movements within the unit.
  • Bend, lift, carry, and reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently in a constantly changing environment.
  • Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to stand for the entire workday.
  • Ability to climb steps regularly.
  • Withstand temperature extremes in freezer, refrigerator walk-ins, and cooking areas.
  • Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
  • Clear speech recognition and clarity to understand and communicate with customers and co-workers in English.
  • Constant verbal communication in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical presence at the job site is essential.

  • Standard commercial cooking machinery and utensils.
  • Cash register.
  • Reservation system.
  • Housekeeping supplies.
